At age 13, I titled Passion Prying inside a notebook and wrote four self reflection questions with answers. In hindsight, I should have reviewed my answers with a little more intent but I supposedly moved on to other interests; as teenagers often do.

7 years later at age 20, For most of my days, I felt great and successful in my own right. Yet, something felt off, as if in the dark, occasionally catching glimpses of light but never quite finding the way out; I was somewhat stuck. I tried following the paths of friends and some fellow grad students, thinking, “Maybe their way could also be my own”. I tried trends, pursued what seemed practical and listened to well-meaning advice about “stable careers” and “realistic expectations”. I also went days asking myself, “what would my parents want me to become?”. I was pretending to be fine on the outside while something felt missing on the inside. 20 years old just starting college in a suggested major (business management); I was ready! but also quietly disconnect.

After a year, I was an accomplished college freshman, yet something still felt out of place. A faint voice telling me, “There must be more to life than this”; I soon found myself successful yet empty within. Starved for more personal meaning and hungry for a damn hotdog! A “2 for 1 chili-cheese-dog” meal-deal was out of my budget and I was far from internally fulfilled; I walked off campus that day, never looking back. Leaving a path only knowing there was something more to my life. I just didn’t know what it was or where to even begin.

Under the ceiling of my childhood bedroom, at nearly 24 years old, I discovered my old passion prying notebook! My younger self, of over 10 years later, had provided me the clarity I was looking for! I found a passion of mine that was quietly hidden inside all along; written in my notebook! I was excited, rejuvenated and holding a full time job. With my new luster and life path, Immediately, I took the following year to train my body and mind for professional racing. By the time I signed up, able to afford and fly to Phoenix, Arizona I was 27 years young. Nearly 3 years later, standing at the perfect height (6’3”) and perfect weight (170lbs); I had put up the fastest lap times (with a picture to prove it). I had received my license to race but I was 5 to 6 years older than the other racers, "a little old". Without interested prospectors or much money, I was back to square one yet felt very fulfilled. Fast forward to October of 2025, I now have a career as an inspector, married with a 1-1/4 year old daughter and that same voice from college crept back in. Now taunting, “Aren’t you more than this?". Without waiting or losing any more of my lifetime, I decided to take action; to answer the internal call and see where it takes me.

Without any real direction, I turned to that old notebook ‘Passion Prying’. I Re-answered the four questions, added two more and created an A.I. master prompt. I had not only discovered another passion of mine (writing) but also different ways to monetize it.
Three months later in Mid December 2025, I was a new found writing entrepreneur! I spent the following six months getting up in the early morning hours and staying up after bedtime; writing about passion prying. I had the same internal fulfillment I’d known while racing!

Writing, researching and falling asleep to the thoughts of those who live an entire lifespan without a pursuit of passion; thinking, someone out there needs this just as I did.

I’m extremely excited to help at least one individual. To provide clarity where there is clout and to help someone align their internal life with their external reality because it’s your life and it’s worth living!

In closing, I am no longer empty inside and internally fulfilling myself everyday through the process of helping others do the same.
Through writing and meaning.

So there will be no master class to buy at the end of this process, no gimmicks or further “tier 1” or “tier 2” progressions. Now is your time to open that next chapter. This experience is pointing you toward a more aligned way of living and it’s great!

Godspeed,

Cliff ❤️

MAYBE YOU’VE FELT IT TOO.

You can be grateful for the life you've built and still wonder whether it truly fits.

Over time: expectations, responsibilities, careers, relationships, and other people's definitions of success can make it difficult to separate what you've learned to want from what actually matters to you.

I know that feeling because I've lived it.

And it's exactly why I created Passion Prying—not to tell you what your passion should be, or to provide you some destination to reach but to help you recognize the patterns already woven throughout your own story.

A man with a beard and curly hair smiling while standing next to a tree, holding a branch with one hand, in a forest or wooded area.

I’M STILL ON THE JOURNEY TOO.

Today, I'm a husband to my wife, Jordan, a dad to our two-year-old daughter, a writer, and the creator of Passion Prying.

I don't have all the answers—and I don't believe anyone can give you all of yours.

What I can give you is the framework that helped me begin listening to myself differently.

I hope that Passion Prying helps you recognize the interests you've dismissed, the gifts you've overlooked, and the patterns you couldn't see while standing in the very middle of your own story.

Because you don't need your entire path illuminated.

You just need enough clarity to see your next step.

YOU DON’T NEED SOMEONE ELSE’S ROADMAP.

YOU NEED THE TOOLS TO CREATE YOUR OWN.
